I think that what you published was actually very reasonable. However, what about this? what if you added a little information? I am not saying your information is not good., but suppose you added a title that makes people desire more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You should peek at Yahoo's home page and see how they create article titles to get viewers interested. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to get readers interested about everything've got to say. Just my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
 
Hello! I realize this is sort of off-topic however I had to ask. Does running a well-established blog such as yours require a massive amount work? I'm brand new to writing a blog but I do write in my journal on a daily basis. I'd like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and thoughts online.
